Catering Prices

Prices after Easter
We need inform you about an upcoming change to our school catering prices, which will take effect after the Easter break. As you may be aware, the UK government has recently announced an increase in the national living wage, which will come into effect in April 2025. Additionally, there have been changes to National Insurance (NI) contributions. These factors, combined with the ongoing rise in the cost of living, have resulted in increased costs for our school catering service.
Regrettably, we have no choice but to pass on some of these increased costs to our families. Prices for main meal and healthy option items will remain the same but the costs of snack items will rise. The cost of a Meal Deal remains the same at £2.70 but this will no longer include a drink. The new prices are available on our website: School Meals (https://www.cottesloe.bucks.sch.uk/parents/school-meals)
Drinking water is freely available from taps across the school site, including in the canteen, for students to fill up their reusable water bottles. If your child does not have a water bottle, they can be purchased from the School Shop for £3.50, after Easter.
We understand that this change may impact your household budgets, and we want to assure you that we have carefully considered all options before making this decision. Our primary goal is to maintain the high-quality catering service that our students have come to expect, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the catering provision.
If you have any questions or concerns about this price increase, please do not hesitate to contact me or the school office. We are committed to working with you to ensure that your child's mealtime experience remains positive and enjoyable.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Yours sincerely
Mrs N Hulland
