Meet the Head Students
Jacob McNorton
I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be a Head Student for this academic year. I am studying History, Sociology and Finance and have just finished my Core Maths and EPQ AS Levels. After finishing my A-Levels, I am looking to study History and Politics at university, to attain a better understanding of the world around us. As Head Student, I hope to foster a welcoming environment in our school and inspire the students to achieve academic success.
As a team, I hope we can represent the sense of community that the school embodies and I also hope we can generate a positive school environment.
Aoife Galbraith
I am extremely honoured and excited to have been selected as one of the Head Students at The Cottesloe School. Entering my second year of Sixth Form, I’m excited to continue my studies of Ethics and Philosophy, English Literature, and Business. Post A-Levels, I wish to defer from university for a year to work throughout and get more real-world experience.
After this, I aspire to study my favourite subject, English Literature, at university. As a Head Student, I want to present myself as an approachable, welcoming individual who the younger years can look up to. As a team, I hope we can reflect on the positive standards of the school and create an enjoyable environment from which the students can benefit personally and educationally.

I’m very grateful to have been chosen to represent you all as one of the Head Students this year. I am studying Maths, History, and D&T at A-Level and did Further Maths AS-Level in Year 12. After Sixth Form, I’m looking to study economics at university and later have a career in the financial sector. In my role as Head Student, I want to set a good example for the younger years and support them if and when needed. As Head Student, I hope that we can help others in the school to feel supported, confident and comfortable during their time at Cottesloe.

I am so pleased to be selected to represent the school as one of the Head Students this year. As Head Student, I wish to act as a positive role model for the younger students so they feel they can come to me for advice and to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and comfortable at school so they can enjoy their time at Cottesloe. I study Psychology, Geography and History. In Year 12, I completed Core Maths AS Level and EPQ.
Post-Sixth Form, I plan to study Psychology at university and I hope to become a Forensic Psychologist later in life.
