SCHOOL PERFORMANCE

Equestrian Competition April 2016

At the County Competition of the National Schools' Equestrian Association (NSEA) the Cottesloe School Equestrian team came first, enabling us to enter the National Competition for Show Jumping. The competition was held on 23rd April at Bury Farm in Slapton, and we had very mixed emotions beforehand - but mostly excitement!

We had to jump two rounds; the first course was held outside and all our team members went clear. The second round was held in the International Arena and once again the team jumped clear, putting us into a great position. After watching the other school teams finish, the final announcements were made; we came sixth out of the 27 other schools.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the competition, had a great time and are delighted with our result. We have a strong team and of course, fantastic ponies!

Rosie Tompkins, Charlotte Thorne, Maggie Long (Year 7), and Amelia Fogdon (Year 9).
