Dress Code

General

  • Shirt/blouse must be tucked into trousers/skirt
  • Girls’ trousers should be school type and not tight fitting or fashion type, in black
  • Skirts should be black, must not be tight and should be of a reasonable length with no buttons or splits
  • All trousers should be black
  • Jumpers should be plain v-neck, black or dark grey
  • School tie must be tied properly
  • Topcoats should be black, grey or blue, free of all but the most discreet logos, and worn over the school blazer
  • Hoodies and leisure tops should not be worn, and are not acceptable as a topcoat. If a topcoat has a hood e.g. a duffle coat, this would be acceptable
  • Parents, please help us by checking that your sons and daughters have removed all jewellery before setting off for school
  • Ears and noses should be pierced during the long holiday and studs removed before returning to School - plasters covering newly inserted studs will not be allowed
  • Trainers are not part of the School uniform—please ensure that boys and girls wear shoes (not boots)
  • If shoes cannot be worn for medical reasons, a letter from the family doctor will be required
  • For health and safety reasons, the heels on girls’ shoes should not exceed 4cm
  • Extreme haircuts/styles/colours will not be permitted
  • All clothing must be marked with the student’s name

*A proper plain topcoat (full or half length) which is designed to go over the blazer. Ideally the topcoat will be black, blue or grey and free of all the most discreet logos. Topcoats can be purchased from the School Shop. ‘Hoodies’ or leisure tops are not permitted.
